A lifelong fan of horror, Jeremy Sumrall got his start in the film industry in 2007, when he was cast as the masked brute known as “The Beast” in the indie splatter SMASHER flick known as “SWEATSHOP”, which got him on the cover of SCARS Magazine, as well as winning “Best Villain” by VIRUS MAGAZINE in Germany in 2012.
In 2013, Jeremy wrote and directed the love letter to slasher flicks “PICKAXE”, starring Scream Queen Tiffany Shepis, A. Michael Baldwin from Phantasm, professional wrestler Shawn Hernandez, and SiriusXM’s own Sal “The Stockbroker” Governale, which got him name-dropped on The Howard Stern Show.
Since then, he’s written several award-winning short films (Stay With Me, In Extremis, Princess), directed music videos, and has optioned and revised an action-exploitation script slated for production soon.
He lives in a tiny town in Texas with his partner and 4 pets (2 dogs, 2 cats).
